Caption: What do you mean "give table two the special plate"? That’s Smedley Peevish Highbrow, the café critic from Gourmet Magazine. Facial recognition systems are surprisingly cheap on the black market. Still, which plate is the "special plate"? The one with the $100 bill taped to its bottom.

Caption: Today on the Ask Sadie Show, we'll be addressing one single topic: "Comeuppance." Specifically, we'll talk about how the tables have finally turned on men who've preyed on women for generations. It reminds me of the last time there was such a dramatic reversal of the social order. The place: France. The year: 1789. Great-great-great-great-great-grandma Sadie had just invented the guillotine. Ironically, she'd invented it as a new way to cut cake.

Caption: Have you ever sued anyone for slander or libel, Randy? Indeed I have, little buddy. It was 1979. Francis Melba stood up in the middle of the cafeteria and accused me - in front of all the other kids - of being "nothing special." So I stood atop my table, ripped my shirt in two, slowly smoothed out my mustache, and then proceeded to flex my pecs, one at a time. HOJ. The sunlight streaming in through the windows scattered off my bouncing pecs like a disco ball. That's when Melba knew he was toast. We settled out of court for a pair of Bee Gees tickets.

Caption: Ask Sadie. Our resident surly lass answers actual reader questions sent to rudy@rudypark.com, and posts answers to www.rudypark.com. Dear Sadie, My husband keeps leaving his stuff all over the place and expecting me to pick up after him. How do I get through to him that this isn't the 1950s? - Angry in Anaheim. What is wrong with you?! He doesn't "expect you" to clean up after him! He doesn't care whether you leave his boxers on the coffee table or not. You are the one who cares. You are the only one who cares if things get picked up or not. He would only start caring at the point where the pile gets high enough to block his view of the tv. It's as if you've never even heard of the male species. Ask Sadie, baby!

Caption: I want to develop a routine. It'll make me more interesting. How so? A person who regularly does the same things at the same time is boring. Either that, or he's establishing an alibi to cover for nefarious deeds he's controlling from a distance using apps on a disposable smartphone. I bet you're wondering what my other hand's doing under this table right now. Never say that sentence again in life.

Caption: I have a coupon for a free Moroccan Wasabi Mochaccino. You already used that coupon last week. I don’t think so. You must be thinking of another customer. No, I remember handing you the drink, you showing me the coupon … and then when I tried to take if from you, you pushed aside a table, a boy scout and a nun as you fled. I don't think so. Get out.

Caption: "Batman v Superman" was just awful. Just AWFUL! Wait … what? Everyone was just sitting around a table and holding papers and saying their lines. They never even put on their costumes. You can't judge a movie based on the unfinished Chinese bootleg version of it. At least it was better than "Batman v Superman Again." Have you heard of patience?

Caption: … And my dad never gave me his approval, which is why I try so hard to be a perfect male specimen. I thought maybe if I ran faster, jumped higher, dated more … my dad would give me the respect as a man that he never gave me as a boy. Do Not Disturb. Did it work? Sort of. Every Father's Day we meet in a bar and arm-wrestle. That's sweet. When I slammed his fist through the table. I'm pretty sure he teared up a little.

Caption: I'm glad you're out of the hospital, little buddy. Hasn't been the same here without you. Really? Yes, really, When you're here, I appear to be even more handsome and muscular than usual, just by comparison. Can you believe I couldn’t find a "get well soon" card that said that? Hallmark's leaving a lot of money on the table. It's the thought that counts.

Caption: How do you know if you're really in love, Randy? Close your eyes, little buddy. Now … think about the future. It's one year from now. You're walking along the beach. Is she walking beside you? Now, fast-forward ten years. You're sitting at a dinner table with your kids. Is she their mother? Now, fast-forward fifty years. You're lying on your deathbed. Who is stroking your hair? Is it her? What's this have to do with my feelings about the gold iPhone? This is why I don't talk about anything deep with you.
