Caption: I'm a big fan of minimalism. Less is more. For instance, last night … I was watching "Grace's Review" on YouTube. She went off on the movie "The Post," implying it didn't tell the whole story about the "Pentagon Papers" incident. I replied "you are part of the problem. Don't just imply there was another side to the story, say what that other side was! Otherwise you're basically just shouting "fake news!" Like any other partisan hack!" Then I deleted that and just wrote "you." ... I think I still got my point across.

Caption: This just in: According to scientists, it is not yet 2016. Hold on … Yes, ok … Sources are telling us that if this turns out to be true, it could have profound implications. Theoretically, it would mean that our leaders could spend this year actually accomplishing things. Wait, I'm being told ... Ok, sources claim it would also mean politicians don't have to demonize people on the other side of the aisle yet. Congress is already weighing in on this stunning development. They've issued a joint statement saying "We're not scientists, so we don't know one way or another if this crazy 'theory' is true." We at the nightly news should stress that the theory is so far unconfirmed. And frankly we're not sure we buy it either.

Caption: Months ago … I'm going to be running for President in 2016. I'll be running on my ability to work with Democrats. Problem is, the conservatives I'll need don’t trust me BECAUSE of that ability. C-Dog's Incredibly Bad Advice $2. Here's what you do: do somethin' REAL bad. Then the media'll be ALL OVER you. Only thing conservatives hate more than Democrats is the media. That's so crazy it just might work. Start by trappin' some kids on a school bus.

Caption: Before spying on reporters' emails, did the Justice Department consider the devastating effects it could have? We did. We were worried the news may become nothing more than poorly sourced, superficial noise that nobody trusts or cares about. … Are being sarcastic? We worried newspapers would close their bureaus and fire their staffs, and TV news would become all partisan and opiniony.

Caption: So all together we spent $6 billion on a two-year-long election … Dr. Noodle. Six billion spent on TV ads … Internet ads … Radio ads … And to end up with a Democratic president and divided Congress. You're frustrated that after all that, nothing's changed. I'm frustrated I didn't sell ad space on my kid's backpack. PhD. Fascinating.

Caption: How you gonna always criticize President Obama, Dawg? 'Cause he's no Roosevelt. Roosevelt didn't try to be "bipartisan." He attacked war profiteers, Wall Street crooks and republicans who tried obstructing his jobs programs. And he almost never backed down. When people called him "Communist," Roosevelt didn't take the high road, Roosevelt called them greedy enemies of working Americans. Roosevelt didn't have to worry 'bout people dismissing him as an "angry black man."

Caption: I'm sick of partisanship. I just want our leaders to solve our problems with common-sense solutions. Hear! Hear! For instance, just expand Medicare so it covers everyone. For instance, get rid of Medicare; it's bankrupting us. I know a lot of people who agree with me, so you're completely wrong!

Caption: So I woke up from a 26-year coma and learned my Republican Party had been replaced by a big-spending, war-mongering, bill-of-rights-shredding leviathan. I started drinking to dull the pain. But I couldn't stop. The bottle took control. When it came time to vote, I hit bottom. You blacked out? I voted Democrat.

Your children will be fed to wolves, and you will burn in Hell for all eternity. Sincerely, The Nonpartisan League of Completely Nonpartisan People. Something's fishy here. P.S. - If you were planning on voting Republican, please disregard this letter.

Caption: Joe Lieberman's a moderate senator. Wuzzat? I said, Joe Lieberman's a moderate senator. Really? But he's to the right of most Americans on the biggest issues of our times! Like withdrawing forces from Iraq, privatizing social security, and raising taxes to fund universal health insurance. How can you describe someone like that as "moderate"? His opponent is part of the anti-war fringe. "Fringe"? Most Americans are against the Iraq occupation. How can you describe that as "fringe"? Who are you, anyway? Mainstream media. Nice to meet you.

Ads saying that democrats tried to make immigration a felony. I see. But Congressman Sensenbrenner wrote that amendment. Correct. And he's a republican. Minor detail.

Caption: I'm Bob Roberts. Today on the Sunday morning political show, the hot topic is the indictment of White House official Scooter Libby for perjury. Here to represent the republican contention that perjury and obstruction of justice are no big deal and not worth prosecuting, is republican Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison. Representing the opposite argument, we have Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison from the year 1999 when she zealously backed the impeachment of President Bill Clinton for perjury. Bob, my younger self has it all wrong. Perjury is just a technicality prosecutors use when they can't prove any real crime happened. I disagree honesty is they lynchpin of our criminal justice system. Perjury must be punished harshly or we're all doomed. With all due respect, Bob, my older self is a partisan hypocrite. And my younger self is a conniving fanatic!
