Like this gentleman here, who no doubt has lived though countless administrations ... Ridden the inflation roller coaster ... Earned and lost fortunes. What are your thoughts on the economy, honorable consitiuent? Well, keeping inflation low and employment strong are essential, and honestly, I think the fed's bond purchases are helping. See, here's a man who obviously knows a thing or two on the subject. That, and we need to get the whole world to start using Triscuits for currency. Crunch. So, what is this idea of yours?

Caption: Special delivery. "Dear Moma and Dad, Just a friendly reminder that my allowance was due last Sunday. I realize this is probably just an oversight on your part, so I'm waiving the $35 late fee this time. However, a 29.9% finance charge has been applied to the unpaid balance from the date it was due. Please submit payment in full upon receipt of this bill. Failure to pay may result in an interruption of chores, as well as legal action. Kindest regards, Edison." So, did they pay you your allowance? NO! They just deducted it from the $46,878 "Room, board and everything else" tab I've apparently been running up.

Caption: Hey, Dad, wanna play a new game I made? It's like Clue, except instead of solving a murder, you have to find who's responsible for killing the economy. For instance, was it the investment bank CEO in New York, with the sub-prime loan? Or a president in Washington, D.C. with deregulation? Whoa! That's a pretty complicated question. Do you think either of us can figure out whose fault it really was? Honestly? Not a chance. Haven't Got a Clue.
