Caption: I'm tellin' you, Big L, it's a exciting time to be alive. Kids in cages … Right wing demagogues subverting democracies all over the world … mass shootings … climate change … No, Clyde, I don't see what's so exciting about these times. Eddie Murphy comin' all the way back, bruh. Cages, Clyde. Cages!

Caption: 1983. You know what would be really cool? If Eddie Murphy was president. Why Eddie Murphy? Because his State of the Union speeches would be hilarious. He could dress in a leather suit, do funny voices, cuss a lot … The only thing standing in his way is that he's an entertainer. And America is too serious to put an entertainer in charge. Ronald Reagan's in charge now. That's different. Momma says he was never all that entertaining.

Caption: I think you're being way too hard on that new Eddie Murphy movie, Clyde. Bruh. Why you keep defendin' that tired, horrible abomination? I don't know. Well … I guess when people hate something so venomously and tell me it's worthless, I have this reflexive instinct to find the good in it ... which explains a lot, actually. Whachoo lookin' at me like that for?

Caption: That trailer for Eddie Murphy's "Mr. Church" don't look like nothin' but "Driving Miss Daisy Part 2." It look like it literally a film about a brotha who spend decades serving white people an' tryin' to be part of they family instead of makin' his own. I was willin' to look the other way when he was talkin' to animals, and when a tree made him shut up for a whole movie, an' when he played a donkey. But when he play a black man who want nothin' outta life but to cook grits for two white women, I draw the line. It's a true story!!! That makes it ok.

Caption: Clyde, have you seen the trailer for that new Eddie Murphy movie? Yes, "Magical Negro." I seen it. It's not called "Magical Negro." You mean it ain't about a black character whose only purpose is to use his special insight to aid white characters? It's a true story. So that's different. And it's called "Mr. Church." C-Dog call a movie what it should be called. Wanna go see "Mr. Church" with me? I'd rather go see "Watch Margot Robbie in Hot Pants for Two Hours" again.

Caption: Federal Agent Murph, what do you mean the terrorist I turned in never escaped? You had me go into hiding! I thought I was about to die! I had no choice. The wife gave me an ultimatum. It was either her or "American Idol." So naturally I scared you into hiding and then moved into your apartment. I don't think "naturally" means what you think it means. Of course, I ate your pop-tarts.

Caption: What do you see, Murph? People, same as last week, Jules. Are they doing anything disloyal? That one's reading the news-paper. The comics page, I'd say. What strip? Blondie? The Oldersons? No. I can make out a few words, "President..." What else, Murph? What else does it say? I-M-P... "impeach." It says "impeach," Jules. Yes! Dissent! Sedition! Treason! We've caught another one reading disloyal America-hating, anti-troop, leftist TREASON! Oh, wait... it says "I'm peachy." Crud.
