Caption: Armstrong, why do we have Fourth of July decorations up? That was weeks ago. Exactly. A true patriot loves his country regardless of the date. A true patriot celebrates the founding of our corporatocracy every single day of the year, minion. Some of the decorations are smeared with coffee grounds and banana peels. A true patriot knows that one cafe's dumpster is another cafe's treasure.

Caption: You ever think maybe the world would've been better off if we'd lost the Revolutionary War? Seriously? You gonna say that right before the Fourth of July? It's just a thought experiment. You scared of thought experiments? C-Dog ain't scared of nothin'. All right. Let's say France never helped us win the revolution. We'd have lost. Britain probably still would've freed the slaves in 1833, so ... No civil war. No backlash to reconstruction, so ... no KKK. France wouldn't have drowned in debt. Their monarchy would've lasted longer, so ... no Napoleon. No Napoleon, no threat uniting German nationalists, so ... no World War I or II ... no Hitler. No Manifest Destiny, so no genocide of Native Americans. The UK wouldn't have turned to the Middle East and Africa to replace its lost holdings, so ... no carving up the Ottoman Empire, no chaos in the Middle East, and no ISIS. Bruh ... if you don't wanna loan me $20 for fireworks, just say so. We'd probably still have black licorice. No getting around that.

Caption: What do you think really happened at the end of "Suicide Squad," Clyde? I've watched it about five times now, and I'm still not sure. I thought it was weird that a dude held up some hand puppets an' narrated the last 20 minutes in Chinese. You need to stop watching bootlegs. An' why'd they film "Independence Day" upside down?

Thomas Jefferson: Communist? musketsam: You would have us believe all men are "equal." I suppose that means you also think all men should be given polar bears made of jelly beans and whatever else they want. Thomas Jefferson: If you are endeavoring to change my mind about all men being created equal, you are doing a good job of it. John Adams: LOL! John Smith: This is a good article. If you enjoyed this article as I did, you may also like this Wonderful Sale on Tomahawks I discovered. (This cartoon was originally published on 2012-04-26).

Caption: Dr. Noodle. Sometimes I wonder why there are ads on the nightly news for things I can't buy. Big oil, big agribusiness, industrial chemical manufacturers. I can't decide who refines and ships crude oil. I can't decide who grows and ships food. I don't conduct chemical experiments in my background. Sometimes I think they have some sinister reason for spending millions for ads on the nightly news. But maybe I'm just paranoid. After all, I hardly ever see anything on the nightly news about these corporations doing anything sinister.

As your president, I've come to the only logical conclusion… You're pulling us out of Iraq, sir? I'm appointing a "war czar" to referee bureaucratic squabbles between the State Department and other agencies. Just as wise. Then I'm refusing to give our soldiers a 3.5% pay raise.
