Caption: Ask Sadie! I'm 50, reasonably attractive and intelligent, but I haven't had a date in 19 years. How do I get back into the dating scene? - KC, Tacoma, WA** **actual reader question. KC, you've been out of the game for a bit, but don't be afraid to use the latest technology. First, find someone you like, then write them an email in which you explain your feelings. And threaten that if they refuse your overture, you'll dig into their past and expose their legal, personal and financial failings to the world over the world wide internet. Love can be so much more exciting in the modern age. Ask Sadie. Spreading the word of hope and live in the modern world.

Caption: Are you saying I have no control over when I upgrade my devices? In effect. You've got some kind of subconscious internal clock that drives you to regularly buy a new phone, or TV, or video game console. And there's nothing I can do about it? So it would seem. How freeing. Does this revelation come with a new credit line? Go away.

Caption: Today on the Ask Sadie Show, we'll be addressing one single topic: "Medicare for All." Specifically, we'll talk about how paying just a little more in taxes to fund it would save money, since no one would have to pay premiums or copays, no matter what their age. That's why we must defeat it! What about the rest of us, who had to struggle with sky-high insurance costs, horrible coverage, and enormous bills that forced us into bankruptcy, for 65 whole years, before qualifying for Medicare?! We paid our dues!!! Plus, when you make it over that 65-year finish line, it's like surviving The Hunger Games. A very proud moment.

Caption: Hey Rudy, you've been in there for over an hour. You ok in there? I think I'm dying here. What? D'you need me to call 911? I don't think that'll help. I just need to build more pikemen and cavalry and buy a defense boost before the enemy's march reaches my city. Get off your phone!!! I'm saving the kingdom here! It's important!

Caption: Sadie, they just found a planet orbiting Proxima Centauri. That makes way over 1,000 planets we’ve discovered in my lifetime. It must be exciting for you, discovering there are 1,000 worlds full of people who can't possibly know what a doofus you are … unless they've got telescopes. It is exciting. Now I know how you must've felt when Oog the Caveman discovered Venus. I see you're bringing what passes for your A-game today.

Caption: Wanna come over and watch the big game? No can do, little buddy. Baseball is a gentleman's sport where they tap a tiny ball and then trot around. I don't consider any game a "big game" unless there's a chance one player could accidentally squeeze another player's spine out of his nose like toothpaste from a tube. Beach volleyball is also watchable. I was actually talking about the new "Pac-Man Vs. Superman" X-Box game.

Caption: What's going on in the middle east really worries me. It is pretty bad. All that oppression caused by just a handful of arrogant tyrants who're bent on ruling the world … How's a normal guy supposed to compete with oil sheiks who can use unlimited finds to instantly train tier 4 troops, upgrade their strongholds to level 21 and buy hundreds of advanced teleports? Please tell me you're not talking about some video game. Why? Something else going on over there?

Caption: What're you doing for Christmas, Randy? Dressing up as Santa and inviting a couple of "elves" over to share in the festivities. Oh, that's nice. I'll be doing the usual too. Playing "Grand Theft Auto: Christmas Edition." Same as GTA, only in a Christmas sleigh instead of a stolen car. And instead of a hit man beating up random bystanders with a baseball bat, it's Santa beating them with a huge candy cane. I could be persuaded to join in a real-life elf party, though. Some people just can't pick up on a hint. I think you're thinking what I'm thinking.
