You wrote When we get on our high horse about freedom and liberty, much of the world wants to gag because they notice how we love butchers until we no longer need them. How's that make me a terrorist-lover? When we get introspective, the terrorists win.

Caption: Rudy Park, my college roommate, sent me an evite to the grand opening of his new café. The zoning board declined to comment. So I filed a Freedom of Information Act request. Turns out the building was rezoned in the dead of night to permit a café, just hours after a huge payment from sources unknown landed in the zoning commissioner's 3-year-old son's savings account. Should I write the expose before I give Rudy a cafe-warming gift ... or after? Remind me never to send you and evite. What's the etiquette?

Caption: I don't believe in it anyway, Rosencrantz. In what, Tyrone? In better. My existence is what it is. And it is not what it is not. Who is to day that having shelter is better than having freedom? Who's to say that having health care is better than experiencing all of life's maladies to their greatest extent? Who is to say that being numbed to it all buy the comforts of the modern world is better than reveling in the unrelenting torment of raw existence? Whatever. I still demand that you return my pillow.

Caption: Of course they gon' kill net neutrality, Big L. So what we won't be able to visit any site we want to online anymore. Nothin' good last forever, bruh. It's like that old Doctor Zeus book said … Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. I don't think Doctor Seuss meant we should apply that to our freedom. Freedom just an illusion, bruh, like parking tickets.

" Whachoocall a country that sing "freedom" songs 'bout how it killed runaway slaves who was fighting with the British to get they freedom? Google is so divisive.

Where we is on math?

Caption: Remember how when we were kids, we'd be out playing for hours, by ourselves? Remember that construction site across the street? I used to hide behind the mounds of dirt and pretend I was Luke Skywalker hiding from sandpeople. I used to climb on the bulldozer and pretend it was an Imperial Walker. I still think you should let your little boy have a little more freedom. And let him get crushed by bulldozers? Are you insane?

Caption: I'm tired of people comparing Donald Trump to the fascist dictators of World War II. I mean sure, he still won't rule out forcing Muslims to register in a database. And sure, he condones it when his supporters beat and kick protesters. But what happened over there back then could NEVER happen here. Why couldn't it happen here? Because they were them and we're us.

Caption: It's been years since you and Roxanne split up. You've had only a handful of dates since. Yep. You seem fine with that. Why wouldn't I be? Being single is underrated. My music's always at the right volume, my place is always at the right temperature, and I never, ever say "I don't know, what do you want to eat?" You know, compromise is a skill. And like any skill, we lose it if we don't practice. Scribble scrib. I get to leave the seat up all the time.

Caption: Morrie Turner. Father of diversity on the comics page. Soul Corner. In 1965, Morris "Morrie" Turner became the father of diversity on the comics page when he launched "Wee Pals" … The first syndicated strip featuring black, white, Latino and Asian characters. Morrie became an instrumental part of the civil rights movement after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. when over 100 papers added his message of racial harmony to their comics pages. Every Sunday in Wee Pals "Soul Corner," Morrie celebrated African-American historical figures that the history books usually ignored. Proving to little kids everywhere that now matter what we look like, we could grow up to be doctors, scientists, academicians, leaders ... and cartoonists. 1923 - 2014. Morrie Turner.

Caption: I'm tired of opportunists pretending there's some sort of "War on women." … Just because in the states, we're trying to de-fund Planned Parenthood, repeal equal pay enforcement acts, and force women to undergo unnecessary medical procedures. … And just because we're trying to make sure women can only have contraceptive coverage in their health insurance if their bosses decide they can. None of that has anything to do with women. It's all about freedom. Besides, if chicks has less nookie, they wouldn't have to pay so much for the pill. That's not how the pill works. I have a constitutional right to decide how the pills does and doesn't work.

Caption: Osama Bin Laden visits Lemont's dream. You're the last person I will ever speak to. Don't you have ANY questions for me? Ok, fine. One question … All across the Middle East, the people are finally rebelling against their tyrants, like you always wanted. But instead of a new Islamist revolution, they're demanding more freedom and self-determination. How does it feel to die irrelevant? Questions are overrated.

Caption: Osama Bin Laden visits Lemont's dream. I changed America forever. Oh, please. It's not the first time America got caught off-guard, panicked, and let opportunists make us a nation of bed-wetting, freedom-surrendering war-monkeys who're afraid of our own shadows. Remember the Soviet Union? You're like a second-rate ... Krushchev. Gesundheit. What? What?

Caption: 2011. Civil libertarians are upset at how often President Obama has asserted the "state secrets privilege." Some things should be secret, but still it goes to show how this president is way too secretive. That's proof he's subverting our democracy. You're just being paranoid. 2008. Caption: Even if they're only in our minds … GHOSTS exist. For instance … we cling to democracy because the ghosts of the Founding Fathers live in our minds. They sit on our couch in their powdered wigs, tights and puffy pants, whispering to us about freedom and liberty ... ... and their right to own slaves. Some ghosts have bipolar disorder.
