Caption: Ask Sadie. Dear Sadie, I'm going on a raw food diet. What kind of diet do you recommend? You rock my world, girl! - John in Portland, Oregon. That's the grossest thing I've ever heard. How so? He's going to eat naked?! Maybe if he has a body like mine it would be okay, but ... stop. That's not what he means by raw. Explain, nerdy sidekick. According to Wikipedia, it's mostly a vegan diet. Wikipedia? Crowd-sourced virtual encyclopedia. I don't understand anything being said today!! Rock my world is good or bad? Opportunity here to really ruin her day. Ask Sadie (and maybe get answers) at asksadieshow@gmail.com.

Caption: Win-win. Whenever I hear that from you, I want to hide under the counter. New research shows the only proven way to prolong life is caloric restriction. Eat less, live longer. Introducing our new breakfast meal plan: The Fountain of Youth. You get half a muffin and half a glass of water. Sounds meager. Exactly. That's why we're charging $16. But a full muffin only costs $4. And it won't prolong your life. Can you even put a price on immortality? How much should we charge for an empty plate of air? Priceless.

Caption: Given enough time, audiences know what to expect, Rosencrantz. And with expectation comes acceptance. Give them crudty, and that is what they will accept. Give them erudition, and they will rise to accept that. Feed them a diet of lies, and they will learn to crave them. I still would prefer to eat my sandwiches before you've chewed them. Give it time.

Caption: I've been told I can order a small mocha. Told? Because of my heart rate and activity level over the past seven days, I've been allotted a daily limit of 1,426 calories. I'm told that's just enough to include one small mocha. Hold on … there's vibrating ... Hold on ... hold on ... buffering ... Bing! Fitness overlords says I'm one calorie away from a medium mocha. It says yelling burns one calorie. I've got to get that app.

Caption: Is it true that celery has negative calories? Sorry, little buddy. There are six calories in one stick of celery. We burn 11 calories per hour chewing. It takes one minute to chew a stick of celery. Divide 11 by 60 and you get a lard-burn rate of only 0.183 calories per stick. So you're still consuming more than five calories per stick. What if I chew the stick for a whole hour straight?

Caption: Rudy, would you mind ordering your uncle his usual oatmeal? Why can't you just order it? Because I don't want to be stereotyped as the old guy who always orders oatmeal. In my day, I ate a wide variety of foods. Every day it was something new and adventurous. It's not fair that I be judged only on what I eat in my golden years. You order the oatmeal, I'll order the Cream of Wheat, and we'll switch when no one's looking. Too adventurous for me.

Caption: Turn on the news. I will not comply. My analysis of your viewing patterns has determined you will grow depressed after the lead story. There is a 95% probability you will then gorge yourself on Rocky Road ice cream and then stay up all night googling elliptical machines and diet pills. Who told you this? Both your refrigerator and your browser are gossipy.

Caption: I'd like a turkeyburger combo please. Ok. What drink would you like? You don't have to yell. I'm sorry, I didn't realize I did. Are you calling me a liar? No sir, I'm not. Not at all. So you're saying I'm stupid, then? So stupid I can't tell the difference between regular talking and yelling? Ok, then. I'll have a diet coke with my combo. That's be $14.95. Are you trying to say I can't afford it?! Let me talk to you manager. I AM the manager. What's that supposed to mean?

Caption: I've been ordering a diet coke here every day for the last year. Do you admit that? Um … sure. Why not? A-ha! So you accept responsibility for my lack of weight loss and admit you've been complicit in deceptive advertising. I'd be willing to settle out of court for $500,000 and an apology. How about a free diet coke? Deal.

Caption: What's your question for "Ask Sadie"? What's with that senseless riot in Baltimore? What do you mean? America has a long history of self-destructive riots in response to police brutality. It's senseless to call it senseless. A city is like a human body. If you feed a body an awful diet of abuse and unaccountable cops, that body's eventually going to have a massive coronary. In short: Learn your history! And eat oatmeal! Oat ... What? What are you talking about?

Caption: I asked a lady if she wanted to grab a kale smoothie with me. She totally ignored me. Of course she did. Very few ladies are interested in a guy who latches on to the latest fads. It suggests you've got a roving eye, and you'll leave her for someone new later on. Most women like a man who's "classic." Solid. Reliable. Unmoved by the ever-changing winds. That's why I eat nothing but nuts, berries and hippos. If it was good enough for the cavemen, it's good enough for me. I thought cavemen ate brontosauruses.

Caption: Remember how I came in on December 31st and ordered a lardo-size fudgsicle sugarbomb mocha with butter sprinkles? Well, give me another one of those. Since it's something I originally had last year, it'll be like I had this one last year too. So it won't violate my New Year's resolution. The ancient art of Time-Shift-Fu. I'm a tenth level grand master. I studied under Moe Yin, the master who created "it's not really 'cheating' if it's with an ex."

Caption: You want me to be a what? A hipster. My research shows café customers expect to be served by a skinny-jean-wearing, vinyl-loving, organic-food-eating environmentalist who smokes. I've scheduled you for an old-timey glasses fitting at noon. I don’t need glasses! You're now a vegan, but you can eat meat as long as you do it ironically.

Caption: EUREKA! Hide your loved ones and your wallet. You know how most Americans are overweight? And you know how studies show that by 2020, 75% of Americans will be overweight? And you know how other studies show that diet drinks may make it worse … … because they disrupt the brain's sweet sensors, causing people to snack more? That means, if you drink a sugar-rich drink, you'll actually SNACK LESS. That means we can rename all our sugar-rich drinks "diet" drinks. This is like the time you had me sell water as a "diet drink."
