Caption: My grampa was deaf in his left ear just like I am. Really? How come? I don't know, maybe it's hereditary. The funny thing is that the day after my gramma died, my grampa suddenly got his hearing back in his left ear.

Caption: I think it was very compassionate of you to adopt a deaf dog, Emily. A lot of people wouldn't want to give a home to a dog that can't hear. Well, there are some negatives. He wouldn't make a good watch dog, for example. On the plus side, you can sneak into the house with an armload of groceries and unload them before he knews you're home.
