Caption: The Candorville Chronicle. Do you know why the cost of living is rising so fast, Brown? It's because people have grown cynical. People feel the American empire is dying, so everyone's trying to grab their piece of the pie before it'a all gone. We must break this vicious cycle, Brown ... before it's too late. Sir, none of this explains why you won't give me a raise. Fight the cynicism, Brown. Fight it!

Caption: It was a dark and stormy night. Suddenly, out of the swirling black clouds above, a freak lightning storm! I ducked into Groceryville to escape certain electrocution. Unfortunately, so did all the people who'd snuck out of the adjacent fat camp. The place was crowded. ... Except, obviously, for the produce aisle. Mr. Brown, all I asked was, "how did you allegedly meet Roxanne?" I'd have taken my chances in the snack aisle, if I'd known the pure, unadulterated evil - and the high prices - that were lying in store for me in produce.

Caption: Times are tight and we have an 8-year-old to feed. Should I cancel our cable and internet? It'd save us $100/month. #$%& no. Then y'all'd have to actually talk to each other. That'd be MORE costly. Really? C-Dog's incredibly bad advice $2. Right now. If your wife cheatin', you don't know. If your 8-year-old emotionally disturbed, you have no idea. A $100 cable bill cheaper than alimony and a therapist. I hadn't thought of it like that.

Caption: I think I realized what went wrong between Kelly and me. I realized it after seeing "Up in the Air," that movie with George Clooney. Clooney's character had a fling with some chick, but when Clooney tried to turn that into something lasting … she shut him down. Kicked him to the curb. Because she already had a real life, and she only wanted this fling when it was a momentary escape from that. So what did this make you realize? That I'm paying way too much for therapy. Fascinating. You don't even give me popcorn.

How much is it worth to you? Is that my watch? (tsk) Aight, $1.50, but only 'cause we go way back. With friends like you, who needs friends like you?

Caption: Therapy's a rip-off! You're not telling me anything useful about me! Like what? I don't know, like maybe I feel responsible for my dad having run out on us, so I've been PUNISHING myself ever since. And maybe instead of staying with Roxanne because I'm a good man, I'm staying to atone for my misplaced guilt ... ... And the first step in curing my guilt is to realize it's ok to leave Roxanne. Y'know, something USEFUL like THAT. That'll be $100.

Caption: So you're saying you delivered all the gifts last summer. I figured the cost of reindeer fuel would skyrocket in December. Lichen's cheaper in the off-season. Of course. Anyway, I delivered Xboxes, iPods, the works. But just this week, kids from all over the world sent me their wishes. They don't want iPods. They want their mommies and daddies to have their jobs and their homes back. I see. And you feel you've crushed their dreams, condemning them to lives of bitterness and despair. Actually, I was wondering why I'm such a tightwad, but thanks for giving me another complex.
