Caption: Oh no! What's wrong? I tweeted a sarcastic insult about Brian Blount, my nemesis in the race for class president. So? So … the sarcasm didn't come through. All my followers think I was praising him. Oh. Yeah, well sarcasm's tricky online. Oh no! My followers are all confused about where my loyalties lie. Oh no! Some of them are calling me a sellout, they're saying they're disillusioned! Oh no! Now they've split into two factions. Those who say I'm a sellout and those who say maybe Brian Blount isn't so bad. Caption: ... So then I told the cry-baby "stop all this continual begging and pleading, and take this like a man." Pardon me, I couldn't help overhearing. "Continual" means it happens regularly with obvious lapses in time. If you meant the begging was nonstop, the proper word is "continuous." What if the pleading only happened whenever there was a pause in the sobbing? Oh. Well then, you were right.

Caption: 1982. Why you talk so white? You think you better than me? It's ok, baby. Don't pay those kids any mind. You have the right - the obligation - to be true to yourself. You don't have to be like everyone else. It doesn't matter how you say, it only matters what you say. Always remember, baby: If you're educated, talk like you're educated. "Speak" like you're educated, not "talk" like you're educated, momma. Don't you get smart with me.

Caption: Dr. Noodle. When people inherited millions of dollars, they had to pay an "estate tax." I was all for the estate tax. But they called it the "death tax" and I was against that. When you admitted you lost a war and left, you were "retreating." I'd feel like a loser if we retreated. But then they called it "redeployment" and I had no problem with redeployment. When people can make you change your mind just by renaming things, that means you're gullible. I don't want to be gullible anymore, doc. You want to be more perceptive? I want a new word for "gullible."
