Caption: Do I have to tell Laurel that I played video games with Darlene? Yes. In your eyes, playing video games is sacred. You have compromised your relationship with Laurel by playing with another woman. The truth is hard. But it's the only way. What if it was just physical? I never emotionally connected to the console! Weirdo.

Caption: Anti-technology matron Sadie Cohen, why have your luddite rants touched a nerve? Simple. People are sick of buying crud that becomes obsolete a week after they own it. They're exhausted from being constantly connected. They'd like a break from mindless over-stimulation. Fascinating. Have you blogged this stuff? Aaahhhh.

Caption: Rudy, how do you use that computer thing? The what? The thing that connects all the people together so you can waste all your time absorbed emailing and chatting and reading stupid gossip. The internet? Yes, dummy. I need to use it to see if I've got a long lost twin sister. Can you help? Sure. If you take back all the nasty things you've said about it. Impasse. Impasse. To be continued ...

Caption: Oh, man. I can feel the burn. You look fine. What's the problem? It's been 24 hours since I last hit on a fine gal, contemplated doing so, sent an email to an ex, or read Maxim. The first 24 hours of my annual cleansing process are the hardest. I crave the sweet connection of a lady friend. But I can fight through a week without. Oh, stop it! Try fighting through a decade without!

Caption: Rudy, you wanna know possible names for your generation? Huh? The L-Generation for loser, the C-generation for clueless or connected, J for jerk or W for whiners. These readers suggestions all have something in common. None of them won the contest to name Rudy's generation. Not that we're taunting the non-winners. C'mon, taunt the losers!! Winner to be named any day now.

Caption: Lemont's in Russia … Where'd you take Rudy Park? He was on the boat with me. I was writing a story about him when someone … Oh, come, come … It's as if you've never seen stooge whisked away by unmarked black van to meet with rich Mafia-connected oligarch before. Anyway, you wanted to talk about interference with election. No really, but ... ok. Which one? 1953 overthrow of Iran's Mossadegh? 1954 overthrow of Guatemala's Arbenz? 1960 overthrow of Congolese Prime Minister Lumumba? 1964 overthrow of Brazil's Goulart? 1973 coup in Chile? I see what you're doing. Oh wait ... those were yours.

Caption: Sir, we're not going to be flying over the North Pole. But isn't that the fastest way to Russia? Yes, but as you may know, the North Pole is a totalitarian dictatorship embroiled in a bloody civil war between state forces and elfin rebels. I don't follow the news. Anyway, my ticket says we transfer to a connecting flight there. Didn't you guys already know about this war? That's not why we're avoiding it. Santa International just melted. @#$% global warming.

Caption: "They found seven earth-like planets, Randy. Amazing time, little buddy. And they're all in the same star system. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Almost certainly not. I'm thinking it's no coincidence there are seven earthlike worlds in that system, and seven continents on earth. Stop! I don't want to hear any crazy conspiracy theories! Not everything is connected! Get over it, loser! I always thought it was fishy that both the first Jewish menorah and the Kwanzaa kinara have seven candles. We should have our own astronomy show. STOP!!! Come to think of it, I once dated seven sisters from Caracas, which has seven letters. Coincidence??? "

Caption: I just realized how vulnerable I am to people who could hack my phone, my self-driving car, my tv, my garage door opener … So I bought a device called "Trojan Horse: that's supposed to protect me from all that. It connects to my wifi router. It monitors all my web traffic, all my connected devices, and ... well, I'm not exactly sure what it does, but it's supposed to keep the hackers out somehow. What did you say the device is called again? Now I don't worry about anyone hacking my toaster.

Caption: What's the earliest memory you have, Armstrong? Well … I was very, very young … Everything was dark. I was in some sort of liquid and there was a flexible, hose-like thing connecting my belly button to some sort of sack that was enveloping me. I heard a woman's beautiful muffled voice singing "Row row row your boat, gently down the stream, merrily merrily merrily merrily, life is but a dream." And I decided then and there I would one day corner the boat market. Very bad man.

Caption: Which useless activity are you doing on your electronic pacifier right now? My what? Your electronic pacifier. Your soother. Your binky. My iPhone is not a "binky". It's an indispensable tool, essential to keeping the busy, modern life running like a well-oiled machine. You can't stand to experience a single moment devoid of activity. Solitude makes you agitated, lonely, bored or insecure. Anytime you feel bad, you reach for your phone. It's your binky. My Twitter followers agree with me that you're full of it.
