Caption: What do you mean you're not shocked that the president's chief of staff is glorifying the confederacy? Google the third stanza of the "Star-Spangled Banner," bruh. "No refuge could save the hireling and slave from the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave ... " Whachoocall a country that sing "freedom" songs 'bout how it killed runaway slaves who was fighting with the British to get they freedom? Google is so divisive.

Caption: I'm tired of people complaining about how the president's chief of staff, John Kelly, said Robert E. Lee was an "honorable man." So what if Robert E. Lee was a cruel, slave-beating, family separating white supremacist traitor who even kidnapped free black Pennsylvanians and brought them to the south as property? John Kelly's right, we can't judge people from back then by what people today think is right and wrong. Y'know, a lot of people thought it was wrong "back then." That's why there was a war. I don't see what that has to do with anything.

Caption: The president's chief of staff, General John Kelly, was right: the Civil War happened 'cause the country did not compromise. Say what? Maybe they should've tried … oh, I don't know … splitting the difference and saying black people were worth 3/5ths of a person. Or maybe they should've admitted a slave state for every new free state admitted or maybe Lincoln should've just offered to limit slavery's expansion instead of ending it. Or maybe they should've passed some sort of "Fugitive Slave Act." I hate "Sarcasm Monday"! I'm glad the White House is filled with people who really know your history.

Caption: What brings you to therapy … "Steve"? I feel like everything is slipping out of my clutches. Dr. Noodle. I spent years cozying up to the boss, isolating him from the advice of others, stoking his paranoia. I subtly convinced him that everyone was against him and that he could trust no one but me and his family, and even they were a little fishy. I had him in the palm of my hand. I said "buy," he bought. I said "sell," he sold. I said "destroy," and he ruined the lives of the people I said were his enemies. I was the most powerful man in the world! I was the man behind the throne! Did I say I charge $100 an hour? I meant to say $1,000. But then I made the mistake of turning off his tv in the middle of Finding Dory. It's his favorite movie.

Caption: I don't care about anything I've heard lately, I'm still voting for Donald Trump on Tuesday. Yeah, maybe he teaches young men it's ok to objectify and assault women. And maybe he teaches young women that they're worthless. But we're not electing a "role model." And sure, maybe he's a tad racist. But we're not electing a "sensitivity trainer." Sigh. Newsweak. And yeah, maybe he hasn't paid income taxes ever since "Pocahontas" was in theaters, but we're not electing a "Taxpayer in Chief." And sure, maybe he's far better at alienating people than he is at winning them over. But we're not electing a "leader." ... What? Nothing.

Caption: Sell us your blog and come back to work for us, Lemont, and we'll set up a day-care service for your son. The Candorville Chronicle. And that's on top of the raise, the profit-sharing, the parking spot and the corner office. Editor-in-Chief. If you're offering me all that, you must see a lot of growth potential for my blog. Maybe that's a sign I should just see where it takes me. Is it that you've gotten used to working in your underwear? Because if so, I'm sure we can ... Yeah, definitely a sign.

Caption: I read that cops in Miami Beach were using six mugshots of black people for target practice. My first thought was "That's so #$% racist!" But then the police chief spoke about it. He said it's to make sure cops are able to tell different black people apart. So my second thought was: "That's a really good thing." Then maybe cops won't kill innocent people by accident. But then my third thought was "Wait a minute ... all six mugshots have bullet holes in them." Why can't I ever learn to just stop at my second thought, like most people? You'd better never go to Miami Beach, Lemont.

Caption: Robin Williams visits Lemont's dream. Christopher Reeve. Christopher Reeve? Andy Kaufman. John Belushi. Chris Reeve. My friends. When they died, I had to try to grieve privately for public figures. That was a whole different game. They were so much more than what most people were going to miss them about. So ... bad time to ask you to say "na-nu na-nu"? Never a bad time to ask for words that make you smile, chief.

Three wishes, to be exact. And ixnay on the wishing for more wishes. Your move, chief. Kiss my frozen tushie! Kiss it! Kiss it! Doesn't ring a bell. Shazbot.

Editor-in-Chief. That sounds more like your talking about NET profits. No, we're talking the gross of the net. AND you'll get full benefits, with a 100% co-pay.

Caption: Oh, I get it. You're not going to tell me what salary you'd expect … The Candorville Chronicle. … Because people almost always undervalue themselves. But if you think staying silent is going to trick me into admitting your top offer is $85k a year, you're ... Editor-In-Chief. There really needs to be a "rewind" button on this thing.

Caption: Your boss … the millionaire advertising CEO … got deported? It was Arizona. Cops asked for his papers. He didn't have any documentation on him and it turns out he IS an illegal Canadian immigrant. But he's back? The economy depends on illegal labor, so border patrol doesn't try too hard. Without illegals like my boss, Coke would have to pay $8 million for ad campaigns instead of $2 million. (Originally published in 2010)

Caption: The Candorville Chronicle. For the first time ever, our website is earning more profit than our print version. Do you have any idea about what that means, Brown? That since I'm your blogger, I'm a part of the reason for that, and you're going to give me a raise? I take it you have no idea, is what you're saying. And "first time ever" is redundant.

Caption: The Candorville Chronicle. But that makes no sense, sir! We should do what we're good at! For instance ... surveys show that comics are the main reason a lot of reason people buy the newspaper. We should run more of them, larger, and all together. Websites can't do that, especially on the iPhone or Android. Don't interrupt Brown. But, Mr. W.. It's rude. As I was saying: To compete with the iPhone, we're going to shrink the paper to the size of it.

Caption: VH1 presents Where Are They Now? The Some-People Story: Part Two. The time was 2009, and the straw man called "some people" had hit rock bottom. I want to take your guns. Yawn. Nobody was paying attention and he collapsed in an orgy of booze-fueled self-pity. The former Titan of the false-argument industry tried to end it all. Eat me! Why won't you eat me?! Squawk? But there's a season for everything, and soon "some people's" fortunes were about to change. No, I don't know what you're talking about. Turn off that camera. Dubble Cross Health Insurance CEO. With a new name and a new purpose, he was back in the saddle again. Gimme your Grandma! I'm gonna kill her! I'm gonna kill her! AAAAAH!!! What else is on?
