Caption: I was always wary of Barack Obama 'cause he was new, not because he's a Black man. That would be racist, and I'm no racist. I don't see color. But then I saw those tapes about his reverend who said "@#$% America," and I got so angry, and blamed Obama! ...Even though I've never blamed White politicians for the horrible stuff their supporters and preachers have said. Hmmm.. I see. I'm afraid. You're afraid you subconsciously used the reverend story as cover for feelings you don't want to acknowledge. I'm afraid to go to church. I have a reputation to protect.

I wrote a series of posts satirizing how the Secret Service isn't diligent enough in protecting presidential candidates, and the Chronicle WOULD RUN IT! Who said that "kingdom" thing? Huh? I dunno. Why? Was it Shakespeare-- or Cheech & Chong? Makes a difference. That's not the point.

Caption: On today's SUNDAY MORNING POLITICAL SHOW, we discuss the public funding of presidential campaigns. Here to discuss this: Barack Obama from last month. Thanks, Bob. My campaign never made any specific pledge to accept public financing, so we don’t see a reason to forgo the contributions of millions of Americans. Our next guest: Barack Obama from February 2007. Hello, Bob. Bob, I will aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election. Bob, me from last year is an imposter. Caption: Lemont Interviews the Secret Service. So, checking only a fraction of the crowd at an Obama rally for weapons was standard procedure? Yeah. Look, it just isn't feasible to check 17,000 people for weapons. Don't schools check millions of kids for weapons every day? Exactly my point. The schools are hogging all the metal detectors.
