Caption: So … today was the day Toddlerville Day Care taught your son what to do if an active shooter hunted them in the potty? Yeah. The kids took turns standing on toilet seats and scrunching down so the shooter can't see their feet or head. What're they going to have to teach them next, how to escape through a window after they break it with a ... whachoomacallit? Safety hammer. Lionel wanted the Paw Patrol safety hammer, but they gave him the Kermit one, so he's pretty upset. Stop. I can't take any more.

Caption: This country hopelessly broken, dawg. When that middle-aged brotha Walter Scott got shot down in the back like a dog, an' it was all caught on video … I thought "this time, ain't NOBODY gonna say the black man deserved it." I told you, whenever the police shoot an unarmed black man, stay off the internet. How anyone s'posed to stay off the net THAT often?

He coulda set you up with a top-of-the-line system for cheap. Long as you ain't ask too many questions. Would I get a credit for what I'd end up spending on my bail? Caption: Why didn’t you tell me your Mac broke down, Lemont? Because you'd gloat. Of course I wouldn’t gloat. I'd be too busy being frozen in shock that an infallible fusion of machine and heaven could ever break. Thanks for not gloating, Susan. Have you tried rebooting its angel feathers?

Caption: Meanwhile, uptown … Thanks for seeing me, gorgeous. When you dumped me, it made me really look at myself, deep down, sweetcakes. I didn’t like what I saw, babe. A cold, heartless player too stupid to see what a good thing he had. I miss you, boo. What's my name? I'll have cheese on my sandwich, beautiful.

Caption: I realized something today. It's been months since I checked my email to see if Kelly had written to me. Dr. Noodle. I used to check every day. Sometimes a dozen times a day. And when she did write, my heart would scratch at the door and run around in circle after circle till I grabbed it's leash to calm it down. I would live for those rare, precious emails where she'd tell me she's thinking of me and loves me with all her heart. But now I've gone months without even checking, doctor, MONTHS. For the last time, no you may not borrow my computer. But the one at the library is still broken!

Caption: Kelly called. She told me she was finally ready to be with me. She asked me to marry her. I told her "No, you've hurt me too much." and I hung up and swore I'd never answer another phone call from her again. She called dozens of times after that. I answered every time. She told me she was sorry for hurting me all year, and said she can't live without me. She was so in love with me. It broke down the wall I'd built around my heart, and I fell back in love with her. I told her I would consider marrying her if she could go six months without breaking my heart again. Then she didn't return any of my calls for two whole months. I swore I would NEVER, EVER answer another phone call from that woman again! Good! Today, she e-mailed me. I answered that because it wasn't a phone call. Fascinating.

Caption: Before you leave, I need you to run down a breaking story. To bring in some extra dough, I let Behemoth Oil build a well in the basement of this very building. Say what? I suspect they weren't exactly diligent when it came to safety. Sir, why didn't you tell me about this earlier? It just now came up.

Here what y'do: Every lunch break, wait 'til the sign say "Don't Walk," and then cross the street. That'll make me feel more powerful? Only if you stare down the drivers like it's they fault.

Caption: I'm tired of people complaining about how young people don't turn out to vote. Young people have better things to think about than who's going to have the power to send them to war. I, for one, salute the apathy of our youth. For without apathy, horrible things might happen. Our leaders might not be willing to lie us into wars for our kids to fight, or to rack up huge debts for our kids to pay off. How awful. The whole system would break down!
