Caption: I lost my wallet here. Could you check lost and found? Sure. What's it look like? Oh, it's leathery, canvas, nylon-ish … blue-black gray-purply-greenish … It has a Visa-Mastercard-Amex-Discoverish cards and one-ten-fivey dollars in it. I keep an I.D. of a dear friend in it for sentimental reasons. Get out.

Caption: 1982. You won Best Book Report in Mrs. Cass's class. I did what? I overheard her talking to Mr. Barnhouse about it. They're gonna give you a blue ribbon and a cupcake in class tomorrow. Wow. Oh wow! I've never won anything in my whole entire life before. This is awesome! This means everything! I thought you said awards didn't mean anything. That was when I hadn't won any.

Caption: Once the sun swallows the inner solar system, we'll probably have to live on one of Saturn's moons like Titan. Imagine gazing at a golden sunset over a red ocean, beneath the blue rings of Saturn. We've got 7.6 billion years. That should be plenty of time for us to learn how to breathe methane ... but you know how people like to procrastinate. I still disagree that we're doomed.

Caption: What're you doing here, Mort? What do you mean? Shouldn't you be in DC right now? The new Congress was sworn in yesterday. I don't follow. You're missing … wait … you do know you won your election, right? I what my what? You mean that actually happened? It wasn't an Imodium-induced hallucination? The Blue Wave Congress is a motley crew.

Caption: What's wrong with you? We are not the paragon of animals, Rosencrantz. If we were, we could create colors not seen anywhere else in nature. Rather than hues of blue, red and green, we could have hues of Morp, Pilpatorn and Fwang. All I'm saying is, a truly superior species would have Morp-colored underpants. I don't think unnatural colors on my underpants would be comforting.

Caption: I hear your campaign's going very well, Mort. My what is going what now? … For Congress. You campaign for Congress. You were running neck-and-neck for a while with the incumbent, Congressman Snidely. But now you're up by three. Oh. Must be that Blue Wave they keep talking about. Or maybe it's that people find my progressive values to be very attractive. Yeah. That, and they finally buried him, so the mourning period is over. I'm looking forward to the debate.

Caption: In other news, there seems to be a blue wave coming, as Democrats continue to win surprising victories in heavily Republican districts. Just across the bridge in Canardville, for instance, Republican Congressman Snidely Perfidious has held his seat for 40 years. He's not running 10 points behind a 90-year-old veteran-turned-peace-activist who advocates Medicare for all, free college, and mandatory veganism. Cool. Maybe I'll be able to see a doctor someday. I don't know, bruh ... The Congress we got is pretty bad. But so is broccoli.

Caption: I've never been in here before. What's your best drink? That'd be the Gambler's Mocha. Sounds interesting. What's in it? Oh … a little of this, a little of that. For all you know, it's a smooth blend of hand-mixed Amedei Porcelana dark chocolate from Tuscany ... and Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee beans, hand-picked by sherpas 5,000 feet above sea level precisely at sunset ... topped with a light whip of frozen Arctic sea foam, and black diamond cream from Dubai ... for all you know ... Or it could be day-old sludge made with tap water from Flint? I thought you said you'd never been here before. Siri, where's the nearest Starbucks?

Caption: I didn’t realize there was so much awful stuff on TV until I had a kid. Uh oh, here they go … People love they sex an' violence on TV until they have a kid … then all of a sudden they think it's TV's job to raise they kids for 'em. NYPD Blue used to show butt-nekkit people on TV at PRIME TIME. But people like you ruined that. Yeah, now you only have 500 other places to see that sort of thing. You been peekin' at my bookmarks? Caption: Why ith the thky blue? Well, it's simple son. Y'see the sunlight? Uh huh. You feel the air? Uh huh. Y'know how sunlight is composed of all the colors in the spectrum, but blue has the shortest, most energetic wavelength so it's easier for it to ping-pong off the oxygen molecules and appear to fill the sky? There was a sale on blue paint at Home Depot. Oh.

Caption: How do we know we're experiencing the same reality? Maybe what looks blue to you looks red to me. Maybe what smells like chocolate to you smells like vanilla to me. Everybody flunks a math test once in a while, Lemont. Maybe four is the square root of 16 to Mrs. Drake, but six is the square root of 16 to me.

Caption: That's an interesting point you made about Star Wars, Lemont. It wasn't my observation. Thousands of innocent blue-collar workers must've been on the Death Star when the Rebels blew it up. I got it from "Clerks." Only you would think of something like that. Right now you think I'm clever. If I tell you, you'll be disappointed. Um... Thanks. ...and why would I want you to feel bad?

Caption: This just in, a recent study shows that the average American is unable to save any money. Because of the rising cost of living, widespread unemployment and the loss of high-paying blue collar jobs Americans are spending all their after-tax income and even going into debt, just to get by. In short, the average American is unable to set aside any money. In unrelated news, the President's health care plan is to have people set aside money each month to pay for their health care.
